Artist/Hand Drums,Percussionist William (Bill) Moore Hand Drums My Drumming has had many inspirations. I started with a background in African classical Style, playing with EARTH BEAT Drum & Dance. I am the co-founder of the Drum & Dance troupe PHOENIX RISING. I moved into Afro-cuban and some Latin styles. Later I played with the Rock Band BENT, where I got to experience in Southern Rock, Blues, Jazz , and Reggae. I have also played with the band Spiral, and the Reggae Band Planetary people. I am also the founder of the Rock Band Outlaw Drummer Band. I have Been Teaching Hand Drumming since 1998. In 2009 & 2010, I was honored to teach at the Seattle world Rhythm Festival. Art I started drawing at 20. I was fascinated by capturing expression and beauty in the face. I did several portraits and made some money doing hair styles for ladies to show the beauty saloon how they wanted there hair done. When I got into painting in my late 30's ,I found joy in capturing motion and personality. For five years I played drums with an African style drum and Dance troupe. I owe my inspiration to our lovely Dancers. One of my main inspirations in painting, was Bob Ross. I liked his use of colors and his painting short cuts, which I incorperated into my paintings.
